As a GSJBW Superannuation Fund member, you can access limited financial advice to help you achieve your financial goals, at no extra cost. Everyone’s situation and objectives are different and there’s no ‘one-size fits all’ strategy when it comes to financial advice.

Research indicates that people who seek financial advice can be better off than those who go it alone1. GSJBW members have access to a number of services so that you can develop a plan that helps you achieve your goals. These services include:

RETIREMENT INCOME SIMULATOR

The Retirement Income Simulator is a comprehensive retirement income calculator, which enables you to estimate your projected super balance and how long it may last in retirement.

The Simulator is designed to estimate your total retirement income, including benefits you may receive from the Age Pension and non-super investments. You can also choose to factor in super details for your spouse or partner (if applicable) and see the impact of a career break or move to part-time work on your projected super balance. This enables you to more clearly assess your estimated financial position in retirement and what you may need to do to reach your desired retirement balance.

PERSONAL AND GENERAL ADVICE FROM OUR PHONE ADVISERS

Our Helpline Advice team are trained and certified to provide you with limited personal financial advice about maximising your GSJBW super to achieve your retirement goals. This is an over the phone service provided at no additional cost. They can discuss and assist you with the best approach to:

  • growing your super through contribution strategies best suited for your situation
  • insurance needs for you
  • general advice on the Age Pension as it relates to your Fund benefits.

They can also provide general advice on retirement income strategies, death benefit nominations, level of insurance cover and contributions.
